The Kazakhstani payment organization Hermes Garant Group LLP, as the former operator of the WebMoney Kazakhstan electronic money system, officially announces the full completion of the project and the cessation of electronic money issuance as of July 4, 2025.
This decision was initiated by the payment organization and implemented in close cooperation with the issuing bank, JSC Halyk Bank.
All procedures, including the final redemption of electronic money, were carried out by JSC Halyk Bank in full compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The decision to close the WebMoney Kazakhstan project, which was not a core line of business for the company, is driven by the strategic need to concentrate resources and the project’s slow development dynamics.
The freed-up capacity and investments will be directed toward the development of modern, high-tech, and more in-demand payment and fintech solutions.
This will enable Hermes Garant Group LLP to strengthen the key products in its portfolio, aligning with current consumer needs and the dynamics of financial markets.
